Life insurance in Miami

Term

Term life covers a set number of years for a lower price.

Common terms are 10, 20 or 30 years, often chosen to last until a mortgage is paid off or the children are grown. If you outlive the term, the coverage ends.

Permanent

Permanent life, such as whole or universal life, lasts your whole life and can build cash value.

It costs more for the same death benefit. It can make sense for long-term needs like final expenses, estate planning or providing for someone who will always depend on you.

Business

Business owners use life insurance to protect the company too.

A policy on a key person can carry the business through the loss of someone it depends on. Policies on each partner can fund a buy-sell agreement, so the remaining owners can buy out a partner’s family.

Compared

We compare policies from more than one company.

Price depends on your age, health and the amount of coverage. We help you work out how much your family would need and put the options side by side.

What we need for a life quote

Many policies ask a short medical questionnaire, and some require a quick exam. We tell you what to expect for each option before you apply.

Common questions

How much life insurance do I need?

It depends on your debts, your mortgage, how many years of income your family would need, education costs and final expenses. We work through the numbers with you.

Can I get life insurance with a health condition?

Often, yes. The price and the type of policy available vary with the condition, and some policies don’t require a medical exam.

Who should be my beneficiary?

You choose. You can name more than one person and a backup. Review your beneficiaries after a marriage, divorce or new child, and ask about a trust or guardian if a beneficiary is a minor.

Is a life insurance payout taxed?

Generally, a death benefit paid to a beneficiary is not taxable income for federal income tax. Interest paid on top of it can be.
